I.J charitable trust was established in 1981 with a mission to help and support the welfare of the local society. The Trust, a purely non-profit and self-funded organization, is most active in aiding the good health and education of the underprivileged and the preservation of Nepali culture. The Trust has also created a long-term sustainable fund for the Pediatric department of Tribhuwan University Teaching Hospital to provide financial help to needy children for medical treatment. It also honors from time to time renowned writers, artists and ethnic persons who have given significant contribution to the society. In 1985, the Trust established the I.J pioneer High School in Hattiban, Lalitpur which provides a quality education and extra-curricular activities to more than seven hundred students . The school also provides free scholarship to many needy and talented students each year.

I.J Charitable trust has been awarding "Shree Indra Bhakta Shrestha Scholarship" to two poor, hardworking and deserving students for Pursuing M.B.A. at Tribhuwan University School Of Management. I.J. trust has set aside a whopping amount of Nrs 1 crore to assist two MBA graduates. The main Purpose of scholarship is to fund two poor and deserving students who are admitted to MBA program at TU school of management.

I.J Trust also facilitates topper of MBA( regular) program with "Shree Indra Bhakta Shrestha Gold Medal award"
